Steemit School Poetry # 1: The Door of no Return
Then all who survived laid down their arms.
And saw they the corpses shadowing the ground.
Beside them, survivors, spreadeagled with multitudinous rips,
and the triumphant watched the twitching of the soon deceased.
Stitched across burgundy colored streets.
Amidst the plangent call of the victorious few
rang the doleful sighs of those taken whole
through the door of no return.
What have we done?
Sent us our kin to an alien place?
Where skin is soldered to skin by chain.
And there, when they arrive.
Sing shall they. Dream they shall.
Of a place. Of a lost ancestral land.

Always diving deep into the emotions of reality. The only thing is that because I’m not well read , some of the words you use can be a bit over my head lol . Gotta be digging into the dictionary . Which is not a bad thing .
