I love the way you betray dawn here, very original and creative. Fireflies being sent to bed, crickets playing their last tune, magical moments sprinkled in dew, a cool humid kiss - all beautiful imagery.

There are a couple of lines that confused me. Most of the poem seems to welcome the dawn of a new day but the phrase about the riffraff waking and ending your reprieve, as well as sinking into shadows left by night and awaiting the dusk indicates an aversion to the day.

On the other hand the dissonance is intriguing and poetic in itself. And since dawn is only a transition and not actually day it works to show some love for it.
