100 DAYS OF POETRY: DAY 52 - Awkward Release

Awkward Release

Where are we to go?
Together seems to be a must.
Yet, together eludes.

We ramble at the same time.
We gamble with our souls.
Do we have the time
To manufacture roles?

Some may want to dance.
Others want to sing.
Most of us want something more
Than elementary dreams.

It seems we have one life.
We act as though we do.
Inside we may know better.
This is a problem too.

Many people put forth answers.
Often they are half formed and incomplete.
Most don’t acknowledge doubt.
Instead they sit upon a mountain
And shout down to the ground
Where the berry bushes grow
For picking on a Saturday.

We need to let go of being right.
Admit to mystery’s delight.
Try a new path for a while.
Leave it if it doesn’t work.
Return if needed.
Go again if needed.

Do not get stuck
In semantics!
