SteemitSandwichContest Week#28 - Smoked Sausage, Mushroom & Spinach Stack
Thank goodness we are back to making delicious and beautiful sandwiches following SSC week #27's horrid sandwiches.
Smoked Sausage, Mushroom & Spinach Stack
Ingredients:
Homemade Farmstyle Fruity Seed Bread as per my previous post
2 Bacon & Cheese Smoked Sausages
Mushrooms, sliced
Spinach, diced & steamed
Grated Cheddar Cheese
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon Cornflour
Butter
Sautee Mushrooms in butter, add milk & thicken with cornflour, add cheese & season to taste.
Two slices Farmstyle Fruity Bread.
First layer: steamed Spinach.
Second layer: grated bacon & cheese smoked sausage.
Final layer: Pile creamed Mushrooms on top.
Delicious sandwich, excellent for breakfast, brunch or a light lunch.

Oohhh, I love those bacon sausages from Durb's. We've found some fairly good ones here but the ones we got there were amazing. I can't remember where we bought them though. Love the sandwich, looks great!!
This sausage was particularly good @therneau, I see what you mean, this one is made by Oscar's in Pietermaritzburg! Sarmie was great, poor uncle Arthur did not enjoy those ugly ones last week ;) Time for the long Trek up to Durbs hey, we miss you guys!!! :)

Excellent creation, smoked sausages n mushrooms, sounds like a good combo to me.
Thanks @jaybird, it was a delicious combo plus my homemade bread turned out great. Thank goodness we could do a nice sandwich this week, hubby was much happier eating this & not those ugly concoctions :)
