Steemit Sandwich Contest Week #10 : Lebanese Falafel Sandwich and Yogurt Sauce
Greetings lovely people of the world of Steemit!
I'm back again with my weekly entry into the Steemit Sandwich Contest held by the manwich master @jaybird! Last week my entry won me the second place in the contest and ultimately this week I will be the veto vote holder to choose the one who will come second! Thanks for the trust @jaybird!
So after showing you all sandwiches from Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey, this week I will make one from Lebanon! As usual both the bread and the falafel are homemade and I will share the recipe of each one in the coming days!
For now let's concentrate only on the sandwich I did today for lunch!
Lebanese Falafel Sandwich and Yogurt Sauce
To make this yummy sandwich, you will need :
- Freshly cooked chickpeas falafel
- Yogurt sauce
- Flat bread
- Tomato
- Onion
- White cabbage
- Lettuce
As I told you above, I made my own falafel earlier! Here I was frying them crispy to be used in my sandwich!

And here's my homemade fresh flat bread cooking on a hot pan!

Coming back to the mounting of the sandwich, cut open the flat bread and spread the yogurt sauce as you can see below!
Next delicately put the lettuce, cabbage, onion and tomato.
Lastly add the crispy falafel and add more yogurt sauce!
And your sandwich is ready!!!
The yogurt sauce is very easy to make, you just have to mix yogurt with coriander, garlic powder, salt and pepper!
And here is the finished sandwich!
Impossible to forget the so important proof photo!!!
Additional Info :
- The more yogurt sauce you put to that sandwich...the better it is!
- You can spice this sandwich up with some chili sauce too, it's all up to you!
- Eat as soon as you prepare it, the crispy-ness of the falafel is just amazing when eaten when just fried!

Falafel is one of my favorite foods. This sandwich looks so yummy, and I agree with you about the yogurt sauce - the more, the better!
Hello my dear @jaymorebeet, falafel i made them in arabic way, it's the first time i cook them, and the sauce makes the taste more better, thank you for reading my post.
It's been too long since I have had falafel! I pretty much adore anything made with chickpeas. :)
Falafel is so easy to make them at home, me also i love the chickpeas, sometimes i boil it and i put salt and cumin and i eat it .
Yummmy!! I only just recently discovered how tasty falafel is!!! Was surprised, because chickpeas always have rubbed me the wrong way, but not falafel!!

The falafel very tasty, and with the chickpeas you can make many dishes, easy and in short time like salad and the Moroccan soup, one day i will post the recipe of Moroccan soup call it harrira, and for falafel sandwich i will send some for you by DHL hahaha.

Hahaha! You have to call them already i send with them and i pay them too, i think they like them, and share them between each other.
