Steemit sandwich contest week 42: potato salad sandwich
Recently I developed a craving for small stuff. Don't get confused, when I mentioned craving I don't mean " the want to eat" craving, it's more like the "want to make" craving. I just feel like making something small and look good. So here
I present to you: potato salad sandwich
As browsing around in the market, I saw a whole mountain for potato staking on each other. It instantly remind me of potato salad. It's just something about that creamy, savoury, bacony goodness that's so addictive! As soon as I was thinking about that delicious goodness, I started brainstorming. Thinking of how can I incorporate this delicious goodness into a sandwich and this hits me!
what's in it
#baked potato
This would act as the bread element of the sandwich. First I washed the skin, then slice it into half. Before going into the oven added some salt. It took About 30minutes at 180 degrees centigrade to cook all the way though.
potato salad
The potato salad contains, the spooned out baked potato, onions, ham, egg, spring onions, tomato, blue cheese.
how's it's made
1. first, scope out the middle of the baked potato reserving it for the salad.
2. Then fill the emptied baked potato with the salad mixture
3. Put a generous amount of cheddar on top for the fillings and touch the %*@! out of it!
4. Garnish with fried shallot and Spring onions, and walla, done!

baked potato skin just taste so good!!!
When I was younger in bars the popular thing was potato skins filled with bacon and cheese. The skins were deep fried. We used to love these with sour cream on top and green onions but now it's not a popular bar food anymore. We also drank a lot of beer with it. Those were the fun old days.
You are bringing back the potato skin. Long live the potato skin yay!
Yea, fried skin with bacon that’s definitely better then plain old baked skin !!! And beer definitely goes well with fatty, oily food like that.
