I took a landscape photograph from the air through the plane window with the Canon EOS 7D camera, EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens.
Here is a photo of housing in the middle of a plantation area around Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), shortly after take-off.

Some photographs of rice fields that will soon be planted rice, around Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport Banda Aceh, shortly before the landing.

While the locale isn't as exotic (east coast of the USA) earlier today @rotfoot posted some nice night time city views from a C-130 flight he took.
Looks great for a magnificent city, but I really love the rural nature without pollution.
I hear ya. Like he said in the post, at night they're really neat, but in the day they look hungover.
