The Steemit Name Challenge (Futuremind)

Hey Steemian's,

I have been in this state lately that is a bit hard to put into words. Let's just say, I haven't been feeling it. Feeling what? You might ask.. Well it's my belief that the artistic, creative types seem to be more prone to periods of inspirational destitution. That is, times where nothing creative seems to come to the mind, and this is very frustrating when you are trying to be a regular posting Steemian. In fact, posting regularly is critical for success in this platform! This is true, and I have recently seen some successful Steemian's discussing this topic. Take @exyle for example, a very humble, dedicated Steemian, who recently discussed the importance of this in his vlog #267. Curious to hear what he has to say about it? Check it out!

Ok, so while searching for a bit of inspiration today, I took a look at one of my favorite content creators on Steemit, @eveuncovered, another Steemian who I feel to be a shining example of what hard work and dedication can do for you on this platform.

I noticed that she was nominated to partake in this challenge, and indeed she delivered with a beautifully composed blog (as she always does). Have a look.

Now futuremind was not nominated to partake in this, but I don't believe I will catch any gruff for it, because it's not stated in the rules that you must be nominated. The way I see it, partaking, and throwing in my own nominees will help this pick up "Steem".. oh yes...It will!

So what are the rules?

-Tell us in a post how you chose the current Steemit username you have. The story behind it.
-Tell us your real name!
-If you could change your current username, which name would you choose and why? If you have a possible usernames -list, mention it!
-Use the tag #steemitnamechallenge so that the creator of the challenge can track all the posts and check them out
-Nominate 5 people for this challenge

My current username is @futuremind. I wanted to create a simple, catchy username that really summed up how most other people perceive me, and thinking back to childhood when my teachers always insisted that "my head was in the clouds" , and my natural propensity of thinking about (and conversing) about future events that may take place, it just came to me naturally. I really didn't think this username would be available, because being that Steemit is a platform full of innovative thinkers, you would think that it would have already been taken, but I was lucky to find out, that it indeed, was not!

I will not divulge my full real name because of security implications, but I'll release my first name. Why not. My first name is Jacob!

I think if I could change my name, I would not, because I really like futuremind, but if I absolutely had to, I would pick something along the lines of (altered ego) and the reason being, is I feel Steemit has changed my way of thinking ever so slightly, for the better of course!

User name list? Nahhhh That is not necessary or relevant to who I am today!
