How much is really this Average Sr. Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer Salary?

Well according to @ned, @Steemit Inc. has paid Millions of Dollars on STEEM development & Steemit.com, and this I truly do believe he has, but how much does it cost? And how many Senior Developers are needed? and how many are really needed?

According to PayScale.com the average super-developer cost something like $100,000 a year per person divided between Salary, Bonuses, Profit Sharing and Commission.

If Steemit INC. Pay every developer this amount and have 20 of them, they do pay $2 Million per year, but is that really needed?

I dare to ask this question because I aced Business, Home Economics, Chemistry and in life, I have more successes than failures because I knew what I wanted to do, and what I was maximum willing to pay for it.

Let me also add - the world is still full of qualified workers lacking something to do who would be happy to land a $50K a year job even if the average is higher just to get a stepping stone in Cryptoland and their work evaluated by everyone.

I do not know how @Ned runs @Steemit, it is not my business nor my company - I am not a shareholder. However we are both businessmen with business experience. My company being @Fyrstikken INC. and his company being @Steemit INC. so at least we know we are business smart enough to stay in business.

The #1 issue for most of us is still FREE, FAST & EASY Account Creation so we can onboard our friends, and them their friends etc. We do not want, nor do we need a burning-system requiring a bitshares-type faucet to do this job. The first solution was the best solution, let users spend their own hardware mining their own account name.

So if we could get that done first, we can get something else done second.

Hmmm..........interesting point of view...:)...

But I don't think that only money is the motivation.
Why not hire someone who has the passion for doing something higher than money? Or give them some shares within the company.

A lot of developers would take a paycut to get a year or two with a good managed Steemit INC. Give them some shares in the company is also a useful idea that has lead many tech companies to success before, The Sharks are swimming around Steemit.com now, the web-sharks.

Did they have 20 super-devs working for them?

Does anyone know (does @Ned know?) how many people were working for steeminc?

I have no idea if they have 20 super-devs working for them. I have a feeling that what Steemit Inc is trying to do in a month can be done in half a day, between 2 devs and a case of beer live on github.

This is the real problem

The #1 issue for most of us is still FREE, FAST & EASY Account Creation so we can onboard our friends, and them their friends etc.

But they keep mismanaging resources, lack real strategy and vision execution. They Do not focus. They don't see bullets coming...
!tip this post @tipu

Yes, mismanaging it to the point of coming out on youtube and be picked up by all media. That is how big of a news steemit.com is to the world of media. However it is also a whalecall.

It seems Ned has to choose. KILL STEEMIT.COM & STEEM OR KILL JUST STEEMIT.COM & CREATE A WAY STEEM WILL SURVIVE.

Ned nor his company run the STEEM network/blockchain. His company just have a website called Steemit.com which has worked as a faucet and employed a lot of people over almost 3 years. So a STEEM without STEEMIT is for many a non essential as more and more publish or read STEEM blogs from other apps.

I think with this one You nailed it. If there is going to be a "takeover" of Steem" by the "Steem Community" this is the only way. Hijack it. What did that lady do with MYEtherWallet? She Hijacked it. She did it the wrong way though.

However the SUPPORT is here on Steem by the users to Hijack the system & take it over.

Publish & read Steem blogs from other apps. So why not just Fork it or Hijack it or Duplicate the best features & have those who want to MOVE on over to the New Apps/ Platform?
