RE: Create a Story Together!

in #steemiteducation8 years ago

Communal stories are such a great way for children to develop their imagination (adults too of course). With little ones, I also enjoy doing communal drawings. All it takes is a piece of paper and a pencil, each child takes a turn drawing the feature of a monster, for example. As soon as the child lifts the pen, it is someone else's turn. Or drawing a landscape, with a certain limit on time for each participant. Loads of fun in the whole process! And always interesting to see the end results :)

Sort:

for communal drawing we fold the paper in thirds and hide each section except for the one being worked on. I'll start with the head, for instance. Then fold that back and the next person draws the body, then folds it over, then third person draws the legs. When we unfold we have a crazy, nonsensical monster that is always hilarious!

Yes! I've done that one with children too and love it. Great way to keep everyone busy and focused for a bit.

Yup! ~ and out of trouble ;)

Haha! Unless you've got a "runner". Then you have to find ways to keep him/her busy in between turns. And that's another challenge ;)

Ahh, yes! That is a challenge! lol!
