Once upon a time, there was a curious little girl named Lily. Her mother died a few days after she was born due to some complications, and her father left her not long after that. He thought that it was the child's fault that his wife died. Lily grew up with her Grandma Bobby who had loved her more than anything in the world.

At seven years old, Lily was a very responsible child. She did all the chores in their house because she didn't want her grandmother to get tired. She did all the cooking, cleaning, and she even tended the garden in the afternoons. Grandma Bobby felt very blessed to have her.

One day, as she was cleaning the attic, Lily found a wide, wooden door. It was hidden behind an old bookshelf that she had moved earlier. She wondered why she'd never seen the door before, and what could be inside it. But just as she was about to open it, Lily heard her Grandma Bobby's voice from downstairs.

The little girl hurriedly climbed down to find her grandmother. To her surprise, her grandmother was not alone. She was talking to a middle-aged man, and by the looks of it, their topic was serious.

"Grandma, you were looking for me?," Lily asked.

The old woman turned. "Oh yes, dear. Come here. You see, this is Mr.Lankin. He's here to tell us something very important."

"How are you, Lily? I am here to take you to your father," the man said.

Lily's eyes shifted between Grandma Bobby -- who looked very upset -- and Mr.Lankin, in his well-trimmed black suit. She knew this day would come, and she had always dreaded it. She couldn't leave her grandmother. She ran upstairs, and headed straight into the attic.

She couldn't think straight. They're taking her grandmother to the nursing home, and she will be delivered to her father whom she barely knew. It was just unimaginable. If only she had a lot of money, so Grandma Bobby wouldn't have to go. She could take care of her grandmother, but no one will believe her.

She was still lost in her thoughts when she unknowingly opened the door behind the shelf. And along with the sound of creaking hinges went the loud crash of hundreds and thousands of gold coins that came pouring from inside the door. Lily shrieked in delight, for this meant that they wouldn't have to leave anymore.

It didn't take long before Grandma Bobby and Mr. Lankin had reached the attic, and they, too, were surprised to see what had happened. Mr.Lankin immediately took the documents from his folder and signed them himself. He was sure that Grandma Bobby will be well-provided, and that Lily could very well take care of her grandmother.

"My job here is done," Mr. Lankin said before he headed for the door. He never came back ever since, and Grandma Bobby had lived her final years with joy and contentment in her own home, and with her beloved Lily.
