Introduction

I love community effort because joining hands together is the best way to leverage the power of all. I love education because knowledge is power. Now you probably know why I support and decided to promote @steemiteducation. @steemiteducation is an amazing community of teachers and educators that support each other. This community hopes to make the world a better place by promoting educational posts and authors that create them. Read exactly how they put it:

The steemiteducation account was started to bring all educators together on this platform. We believe that education gives us better knowledge of the world around us and it changes the world into a better place. We are a close community and young and old, work together, to share ideas, teach each other, and learn from each other.

So to support and promote this amazing community of educators, I will make 2 posts each week - every saturday and wednesday - to review my 5 top posts curated by @steemiteducation in the last 2 or 3 days. I will probably increase the number of posts if I have the time to read more. The aim is to promote the community and authors that volunteered to spread knowledge. This is my little contribution to support the efforts of @steemiteducation for bringing teachers and educators together.

So lets get into the business!

My top 5 posts for today 1/6/2019

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

1. How to get yourself out of difficult situations!

I was personally motivated by this article so nicely written by @giantbear about dealing with difficulties and failures. They say if you never failed, then you haven't tried something new. The article gave helpful recommendations for getting out of a difficult situation such as having an escape plan if things go wrong. The example of Thomas Edison who kept trying was the best example. Click the link above and read for yourself.

2. If life stresses you out.... Tips for teens

Another good article about dealing with negative conditions such as stress for teens. @anneke mentioned some the things that make teenagers to stress out such as exams, high expectations from other adults and discrimination. But the videos accompanying this article explained teens can handle stress and overcome those situations that fear them the most. Check it out!

3. Unnecessary prohibitions: how parents spoil the lives of their children

This article is an eye-opener and I just wish that all parents can read it. Sometimes, in a bid to train children perfectly, parents make mistakes by overly restricting their children and placing impossible demands on them. They expect them to do things almost perfectly. This article explains what could go wrong when parents expect their kids to be perfect and restrict them even from doing things that kids are known to do. Read it to find out more about this subject.

4. Safe House

@johnjgeddes wrote a really nice poem here. Everyone - kids and adults - can learn from it. The message of the article is that there is no safe place, a haven of peace where there are no worries. So long as we are still alive in this world, we are bound to face problems and challenges, its a normal part of life. So instead of looking for a place to hide, we face up to our challenges because we can overcome them. You'll probably like the lines of the poem. Check it out.

5. Magical things happen when children PLAY

This is another nice article for parents to learn that sometimes, its good to let the kids run around, they learn from it. Parents should strike a balance between being restrictive and being corrective. According to this article, kids develop proper communication skills when they play with others. It also helps them work as a team and see that we all are inter dependent. This article has so much to teach everyone that has kids around. Just check it out!
