Indeed the educational system is messed up and it is not the fault of the teachers. 1) Many parents no longer provide their children with good moral values and acceptable behaviors. Educations wear many hats and disciplinarian and babysitter are two of them. 2) The educational system has its marching orders from the federal government. Common Core has done more harm than good. Many teachers hands are tied. If schools want the candy money they need to oblige Daddy government. So they are dependent like a drug on the money. 3) For the past century our colleges and universities have been subtly influencing students in a socialistic almost communistic belief system. The Democratic party is today a socialist party. Consider how popular Sanders was and since the mid 1980's the communists had to find somewhere to go. Who is going to vote for a communist party? Well it sounds better relabeled Democrat. At any rate these students have been taught this socialistic dogma at the college level for generations. NOW they are teaching it to our youth at the elementary level - first graders. That is why many parents opt to home-school and why many home schoolers are under attack. It traces back to money. The education system is loosing some money when parents opt to home school. But YES teachers hands are tied. Sad. Thanks for the wonderful article my friend.
