I periodically work with kids that have Downs at the local high school. They are such amazing kids...full of wonder, refreshingly genuine (in a world that is increasingly cynical and cruel) and enjoyable to spend time with. We get so caught up the bullshit of our workaday lives and forget that there are people out there that have bigger challenges to overcome, challenges that they cannot escape from. Big hugs and high fives!
