He was trying to avoid putting the mash in the river, they would track it back to where it was dumped in. The hogs made it go away.... :)

That's sad but true. That is always the drawback of a still, you have to have a running water source to keep the condenser box cool. If they knew one was in the area, all they had to do was follow the creeks.
He was using well water, so he was fairly well hidden, until the drunk sow got to him anyway, LOL!
