My mom and I took a little day trip to our local botanical gardens... Kirstenbosch. I managed to get some amazing shots, but there is just something so very majestic about the beautiful Strelitzia! It truly is magnificent!!! It has been a little bit of an emotionally turbulent weekend due to a really unexpected blindside from someone that I considered a real friend, but... sometimes our best defense is simply acceptance.
As long as we keep our eyes open and we learn from it, that's what counts. It is never good to allow things to eat you from the inside out. You need to let them go, but you do also need to process them first. Some people really don't seem to hold enough value to transparency and honesty in relationships and friendships these days... Time for a glass of wine and to start prepping some broiled steaks for dinner, as I still cannot use my stove plates as mentioned yesterday. Haha!! I hope you are all having a really beautiful Sunday and wind down to your weekend. Don't forget to be FABULOUS!!
