MAKING MY SIMPLE FRAME BY PAPER

Dear friends,

I am very addicted to Origami. As we know, Origami is an art that folds paper. The word "ori" is a Japanese word means to fold and "kami" means paper. This kind of art doesn't require scissors and glue to overcome the desired form, but only by folding. These days, origami masters consider applying scissors and glue to be called origami as long as the result is good.

Personally, this form of art is not expensive because it doesn't require materials but only brain and paper investment. In order to produce a good origami, we need to do is to follow the lines. It is like an algebra where there is a formula we must follow. 

Before we start, the historians believe that Origami originally comes from the East as Eastern prehistoric people treated paper arts an addiction. During the first century, China invented papers. Chinese initiated paper folding of the red envelope to use for their wedding ceremony to so the couple will get their good luck. When someone passed away, house, maids are counterfeited by paper folding to burn at the funeral to eliminate the bad luck. They likewise make many symbols of a thing by paper folding to bury with the dead so he has many things to use in his next life. 

In Japan, it's their tradition to display the large fish-shaped lantern throughout the streets. They do the festival after darkness at the pole. Noshi is another form of origami to be tied in gifts. It usually copies animals as a sign of fortune. 

This time, I wanna share you how to make a simple picture frame suitable for our room. Below are the steps. 

Step by Step to Make a Picture Frame

Prepare A4 paper. 

Step I. Making Four Squares

a. The arrows are the guides. Match every side of the paper to make at the center by creasing in a half size. Turn around the paper and do the same. Now, what can you see? You see a cross and four squares. 

Step II. Make X a. b. c. d. e. Step III. Make four small triangles. a. b. Step IV. Make Trapezoid

a. Fold the small triangles that match the lines to make a trapezoid.

Step V. Make an Octagon

a. Fold each side to the back that follows the two center lines.

c. Your picture to  be inserted should be at least 7x7 centimeter.
