#قالَ الإمام ابن تيميَّة (ت: 728هـ) رَحِمَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى: «الاِسْتغفار يخرج العبد مِنَ الفعل المكروه إلى الفعل المحبوب، مِنَ العمل النَّاقص إلى العمل التَّام، ويرفع العبد مِنَ المقام الأدنى إلى الأعلى منه والأكمل»اـ.
