Things to Read and People to Follow! What I've Found Helpful Along the Way!

The STEEM Blockchain is an amazing place.

It is very rare to find such a vibrant and eclectic conglomeration of creative people all in one place. It’s even rarer still to find that, for the most part, altruism and egalitarianism permeate the culture of STEEM in a way that helps to create a beautiful community that supports its members.


The problem for many, including myself, is that the learning curve for the platform is steep, especially when that person doesn’t have a lot of experience with computers in general.

Luckily, there are a ton of resources in the form of How-To posts and people in chat rooms that are willing to help make that climb a little easier. I will shout out some of their names below so you can follow them, but I am sure to forget some. Just know, if you are reading this and, at some point in the last month, you spent inordinate amounts of your precious time answering my naïve and obnoxious questions, I thank you and I love you for it.

• Not only does Steemit come with it’s own chat area: https://steemit.chat/home, but there is also Discord, an external chat service very much connected to the Steemverse, where you will find communities of every size, shape, and color where you can network and promote your work and get answers to tough questions. I cannot understate the importance of using these groups to grow as a Steemian. I especially recommend PAL and the MSP page, and ADSactly to start with.

• One of the hardest parts of Steemit for idiots like me is understanding the formatting code that makes your posts look nice. There are a couple of references that I have found very helpful in learning the basics.
