Good post. Creating good content is THE ONLY way to be successful here. I suggest commenting on people that you follow and creating connections via interests that you hold. People are likely to follow you and read your posts if they see a person who puts in effort and is speaking about things they are interested in. The new fork is just basically a new way that the rewards system is going to be adjusted as Steemit is a growing platform and as more users join the community will demand more equality for content creation. But in my opinion there is no substitute for creating good content and following people whose stuff you like reading. Leave comments and you will gain followers who are like-minded or who appreciate what you have to say.
