How To Monetize Your Content: Steemit
Hello photographer, writer, vlogger, director and artist. If you, are like me, you are looking for ways to monetize your content so you can make a living off of it. That way you can work on your area of interest and still have the ability to pay the bills. And working online comes with some huge advantages, like the fact you can work from anyway and you can make your own hours. Content creating is a very competitive field and it is hard to make yourself known with so many people wanting to do the same. But a newer site, steemit might help you make a name for yourself online and pay you along the way.
Cryptocurrency is the new way to monetize content. It works by giving users a reward for their content and people can take that reward and trade it for bitcoin (which they can trade for cash). This leads to an internal economy where people can get value without having to worry about ads and external revenue. Though, those older models can be applied as well. The coin has value as the more you hold, the more voting power you get on the site and people can buy it on an open market. There are no limits to how high the price can go, if it is poplar and wanted enough, so it can fund a lot of content creators in the end. And as the coin is on the blockchain, it is secure.
If you decide to join steemit, which is free, all you have to do is post the content that you were posting on other sites. People can then upvote it, and if people with high enough voting power upvote it, you will get a percentage of the rewards that are given out ever day. That's it. Sure it is more complicated behind the scene, but all you need to know is share your content and trade your coin. I highly recommend trying the site out and as you can tell by the number of posts I have done (which includes comments) I feel this site is where you should post your content.

After HF19 is see less and less interaction. Not even upvoting but also comments...

I think it also has to do with volume too, there are a lot of people joining and a lot of posts, we need to start filtering them soon.
Of course that doesn't help when you want to read quality content and then decide if you want to upvote or not.
But still...
If you're ranked high it's a whole other ballgame. People almost automatically jump on your post. If you're ranked low you're lucky if you get 10 views when you have 200 followers like me. And they're not even dead followers. 98% are posting.
Oh agreed, it is the money, people see money and click on a post. I think it how people go through their feed.

Good advice overall here. I have found that commenting on other posts a handful of times daily after reading the post, sharing my thoughts in an authentic manner, drives people back to my posts. Simple 1-2 punch of creating and connecting. Create helpful content. Connect through blog commenting and good old sharing on Steemit and through Twitter too.
