How To Get Steem To The Moon: We Need A Kickstart
First I want to talk about the plan for community marketing. This will be a great way to grow a steady network with people globally. It will help build a network of real people and these will be people that will be invested in the system. And this will lead to a solid group of people who will stay and want steemit to succeed. Now, although this is great for long term growth, it is missing a wow factor, a boost to get things started. In most cases with tech this might not be an issue, as steady growth can, by itself, steamroll into something great. But with cryptocurrency there is another factor we need to consider: market value of the coin.
For steemit to take off we need the value of the coin to take off. The higher the value, the higher the posts and the more people will want to jump onbaord. So how do we get a spike in price? Well the market is based on speculation. The more that people think something will be awesome the more they will invest in it which, in turn, can help to make it awesome. And when it comes to speculation, the biggest asset is news. Big news announcements drive a spike in price. Look at Ripple. When the news came out that the bank of Tokyo was going to use Ripple, the value skyrocketed. Steemit is going to need some big announcements. These are announcements that are going to need to come from steemit inc. Time on a major news program or a partnership with another company. Maybe another use of steem. The community is VERY important as they will help spread the word and we will be the reason that steemit grows and doesn't just fizzle out after the dust of the big news settles. But if we want to see a spike in price we need some news worthy headlines. Steemit works. If we can get some buzz worthy news to get people talking and then work hard as a community to grow, then the moon won't be out of reach.

How about a crowdfunded television advert? Especially pointing out that money can be earned but not only that, to point out how much of a future investment buying STEEM really is! The fact that you can earn a place in the public eye at the same time as investing in one of the greatest ideas since sliced internet, needs to be advertised.
Make a #growth-ideas post about it :). I would like to see some serious ad work down for this site.

Maybe not even television. Do a youtube channel/ series of ads.
