Steemit voting bot 'booster' - bidding process brief explanation

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemians!

Yesterday, I made a short content regarding with voting bot 'booster'. You can check my post about booster here.

As we can see in @upme profile, one of the whale account who offer their service for upvoting, it said that their minimum bid is 2.5 SBD.

(

The question is 'why do we need to make a bid?'

Due to the high demand of user who uses their service, they decided to make the payment method to pass thru a bidding process, they will use higher voting weight to the highest bidder.

For example, your bid (SBD sent to their account) is 4 SBD, they will upvote your content with approximately $14, but if there are so many bidders who outbid your bid (ex. They bid 5 SBD and your bid is only 4 SBD), then your content will only receive $7 instead of $14 of upvote from booster, because the voting weight they are going to use in your content will depend on how many users will go to bid in each round (they will upvote and make rounds every 2.4 hrs).

Make sure to check the voting bot's wallet, to see the list of the recent bidder, so you can outbid their offer in order to get a higher voting weight from booster.

As we can see in this photo, that there are lots of bidders who bids for the minimum amount bid price, and there are some people who bid for 3.200 SBD.

Bidding at 3.200 is 'useless' because you will only get the same voting weight of an upvote with 2.500 SBD, which is $7 upvote from the voting bot, the next voting weight bids start at 3.9 SBD and up. I will make a tutorial on how to win the bid in any booster, soon.

@surpassinggoogle is such a generous person and has a very big heart for all of us here. Please support him as a witness by voting him at https://steemit.com/~witnesses and type in "steemgigs" at the first search box.

If you want to give him witness voting decisions on your behalf, visit https://steemit.com/~witnesses again and type in "surpassinggoogle" in the second box as a proxy.

Just what I was looking for, thank you for this enlightening article.

So by bidding higher I am effectively cutting into the old high bidder's ROI by 50%?
