Exciting news! As of today - Steemians can now upload photos directly without a third party image hosting service. Now you can drag and drop, paste via clipboard or upload files directly from your computer. This is a big step for the Steemit community! A subtle line of text but with BIG new implications. Steem on!

I tried to insert an image with it. Uploading was little slow, but it is a good news. I think the service will be much better later. Thank you @voronoi ;)

Definitely good news! I had no issues with uploading but haven't tried anything too heavy just yet. A good sign of things to come, cheers @bontonstory!

Thank you for doing this! Makes it so much easier to post up pics and works great, too :)

Great feature, can't take any credit for it though! Just reporting and spreading the word on a new feature!

This is such great news...I found it a real pain adding images...like I am sure most people did. Thanks for the info.

Same here it's a relief not to worry about the time and energy it takes... simplifying the image-upload process down even just by a minute or two is a big deal.

Great news! I'm so glad!

:) me too!

Is there a limit on the size of the picture which can be uploaded?

Good question, I'm not sure yet but will test out a range of image sizes and get back to you...

That's awesome!

Exciting stuff!

Awesome news! Thank you very mich! 😇😇

Definitely great news!

That is exciting news. I haven't tried it yet, but it will certainly make posting easier. Will be be able to see what images we've uploaded? It makes little sense to upload the same image twice if you want to use it in more than one post. Just a thought though, I'll take what I have. :)

That's a good question, from what I can see there's no visible library that you can circle back to... so yes, you'd have to upload an image, then re-upload an that same image if you'd like to reuse it for a new post.
