๐Ÿš€ What Cryptos do YOU Own? ๐Ÿš€ March, 13th

in #steemit โ€ข 6 years ago (edited)

๐Ÿš€ Every week, I decided to update the different cryptocurrencies I own and would like to ask you which one do you believe in the most in your respective wallet. ๐Ÿš€

This is the 21st weekly: "What cryptos do You own?"

  • As I work in finance, Stock Markets polls are very useful for fund managers to understand what investors own because they currently like it and what they do not.
  • Usually, in the Stock Market, it is not very good to own a stock that everybody owns; it means that most investors bought it already and therefore, future demand will be low.
  • Whereas understanding which one are under owned is very useful in case a positive news is released on the stock. Since a few investors own it, they will rush to buy some and the price will increase significantly.

My current portfolio and reasons why I own these cryptos:

I have reopened some Long EOS as June is coming fast and I feel there will be some releases about the EOS Project soon.
I had to cut a lot of positions lately as the market was VERY tough. Nevertheless, I will rebuild them soon as I think some coins are just too low at the moment.

Cryptocurrencies that I used to own

  • Steem: If you read this, you know why. I am still mad that I did not buy more at <1$
  • Eosio (EOS): I believe in Dan Larimer; he already developped 2 great projects (Steem and Bitshares) and as the Co-founder of Steemit on @SGTReport said about Dan larimer and its EOS ICO: โ€œThe people who say that there is no product yet, Dan has built 2 of them if they think heโ€™s not gonna build the 3rd one, theyโ€™re crazy. This is the one he always wanted. The other 2 were just helping him get thereโ€. EOS is showing some nice upward trend recently. I can see some โ€œWhalesโ€ are stacking them.
  • Ethereum (ETH): In my opinion, it has been the most exciting project in cryptos so far. This project has been copied or inspire many other hot cryptos (NEO, EOS...). Devon3 gathering brought a lot of visibility on Ethereum's next improvements especially on the scalability issue.
  • Siacoin (SC): Siacoin is a solution that allow companies to use storage in a decentralize on Siacoin network. โ€œMinersโ€ are renting their storage capacity. It is 5-10x less expensive than with traditional companies as Amazon Web Services, Google, etcโ€ฆ
  • STORJ: Same business plan as Siacoin, smaller Market Capitalisation and recently the company announced that it โ€œfrozeโ€ some of its tokens as they will not need it in the next 6months+ to finance the development of the platform. This is a good sign as it tells us the team is feeling confident to have โ€œall it needsโ€ to deliver what the market expects.
  • Golem (GNT): It is a cryptocurrency allowing you to use the calculating power of the computers connected to its blockchain network. This is useful for companies looking to rent some calculating power for a project, etcโ€ฆ

Cryptocurrencies that I used to own

  • Mysterium (MYST): The company is developing a Blockchain VPN. As China is trying to implement its Great Internet Wall before 2018, this would block VPN based technology. This project could offer a solution to Chinese and even other people to have more privacy while browsing through the internet
  • Basic Attention Token (BAT): It radically improves the efficiency of digital advertising by creating a BAT coin that can be exchanged between publishers, advertisers, and users.
  • Augur (REP): I just like the prediction market project. They have a good team of developers and seem to work very hard on this project. And last but not least but they keep you updated on a weekly basis and were at Devcon3 recently.
  • Ripple (XRP): Signed most of the TOP50 banks and is runned very professionally. It is working with Chinese partners on many projects.
  • Stratis (STRAT): Stratis offers full service capabilities for the development, deployment and management of blockchain applications and solutions utilizing C#.Stratis tries to make it easier for companies, organisations or other entities to develop a blockchain app.
  • Ethereum Classic (ETC): I think it is undervalued, dapps and other projects are using it as the Ethereum network is getting crowded.

My Portfolio on February, 8th

I am long Altcoins and still not interested by BTC

Bitcoin was the first Crypto, butโ€ฆ I always preferred Altcoins (EOS, SC, GLM, XRP, REPโ€ฆ).

Finally, What crypto should I look into at the moment?

And you, What do YOU own?

Please remember this is my personal opinion and not a financial/investment advice. You need to do your own research to make your own decision. Investing in cryptocurrencies can lead to financial losses.

@vlemon I say thanks for this this post.
I hope to read them again. I voted you.

Thank you mate.

@vlemon days ago you were question us. Now I ask Do you have now?
Thanks mate for your feedback.

What about new projects and ICOs?

Until now I stay away but I looked into Crypto Hunt, I am playing the demo right now.

Dang that is a lot of EOS you holding. I too want to get in on EOS but the prices have been dropping as of late. Maybe buy time soon ;) Thanks.

I do believe in this project :) Future will tell if I was right.

Hello @vlemon! I think Siacoin (SC) and Golem(GNT) are very promising. Do you suggest me to buy and forget them for long term?

I also like both of them and used to own golem that I sold after a nice rebound.
Both projects look good. You should make your own decision and not invest more than you can afford.
They are definitely in my TOP 10 Cryptos.

Nice post man, interesting to hear about coins I haven't discovered. Here's what I own, in no particular order.
Steem
Verge XVG
Ripple XRP
Stellar XLM
Tron TRX
Colossus CLX
Cardano ADA
Flappy Coin FLAP
Ember EMB
Bitcoin BTC
Ethereum ETH
Litecoin LTC
Tether USDT
Decentraland MANA
Binance coin BNB
Cindicator CND
Electra coin ECA
Dash DASH
Doge coin DOGE
Bitcoin Cash BCH
And a few others I can't remember without logging onto my desktop.
My reasoning for having these coins is because I believe they will increase in value and most seem to have good dev teams. Granted, a couple are stupid s#it coins (FLAP, Doge) but most are based on being decentralized which seems to be a big driving force in the crypto market, so if a coin is heavily based on that I usually swipe some up just in case.
The way I look at this is, I'd rather throw away a few hundred bucks now and risk wasting it all rather than not investing anything and regretting it later like I do now with BTC.
In high school I used to mine/collect BTC and Doge and was into crypto in general but once Mt Gox got hacked I basically dropped out of the game as it seemed like a huge event. In hindsight, I should have doubled down and went even more HAM on crypto. So I'm taking that lesson I learned and am putting any extra bit of cash from a paycheck I can afford to lose into the market collecting small alt coins in hopes that they will one day increase in value. I don't expect to become a millionaire or get rich, especially with the small amount I'm investing, but I'd rather make some small profit in the next year than wishing I had dabbled in the market like before. I also have my computer pulling 50ish hashes and an old phone and tablet pulling 15ish combined. And while I know that's pitiful amounts of hash rate, I'd rather use the power to mine and make SOMETHING than regret not doing it later. I use coinpot as my main earner and it has done well for me.

Thank you for sharing and welcome on Steemit !

My portfolio now :

  • % 60 Steem (just exchange, not in my account)
  • % 10 Bitcoin
  • % 15 Cardano
  • % 15 HSR

Thank you for sharing.

Moved fiat to crypto and just picked up some btc, verge, and of course steem. I'm looking to add other alts as well for some big gains.

You are betting, hopefully youโ€™ll earn some $ for the risk youโ€™ve taken.

Yes, I'm hoping my risk will reap the rewards in the long run. I think companies are fascinated by the blockchain tech but most are still relatively hush about it bc they feel inferior and need some catching up to do. One comment about incorporating coins into their business and their stock skyrockets, lol. Great example is overstock.

i see you have a lot of 'old' coins. no newbies in your portfolio

I just have some ripples, but it is going down, what is your advice?

You have a very interesting selection but I see a few coins on there that I question. Either way it looks like you have great intuition when it comes to cryptocurrencies, so best of luck.
