It is because the reward pool needs to grow into maturation as he reward pool is like a new genesis block of the reward pool. You will see pennies appearing which will continue to grow over the course of the week. Over the next month the numbers will be much more back to normal and mostly there after a week and two along the way on our new path.
OK, thanks for your comment. I know pending post is going to be switched to 7 days but this was still a surprise.
Yes a big surprise indeed. Now we can get surprised by how much we are going to get this week because we can't be too sure just yet. Almost like waiting to open gifts!
