My 1 year Steemit Anniversary!

It doesn't feel like a year already. Probably because I didn't make my first post until the end of February. It took me months to figure out what was even going on. When I joined I thought this was just a wallet for STEEM. Boy was I wrong.

What a mess it was when I started. After figuring out how to post, I had to figure out what to post about. I don't know shit about crypto but made some posts about them and earned like 3 cents. Then I did an introduction post and made 30 cents. After that I was hooked.

After a few months I came across a group of folks with similar interests to mine. #steemsilvergold is a group of coin collectors, bullion stackers and all around ass kickers. I've never really been able to show off any of my collection because a lot of my friends have taken the wrong path in life and I don't want that kind of attention.

A little while after being nominated to join I started to wonder how people were making there posts look so nice. Then I found @minnowbootcamp. They had assignments to complete to increase your upvote from them. I did as many as I understood and learned a bunch. Next I had to figure out markdown for my posts. @carrieallen had a great post called Markdown Tutorial and I still use it everyday. If it had a post view count I could only imagine how many times I've visited it.

Then came the Monster Raffles hosted by @ssg-community. These have been a blast to participate in. This year we had 3 of them and the prizes were amazing.

Along the way I had a few people really help me out. With small contests and challenges from @stokjockey, @goldkey, @silveringots, @senstless, @raybrockman, @thedamus, @armshippie & @tyedyefirepower I was able to build my account. I want to thank each one of you and many others I forgot to mention. Know that even if you weren't mentioned, all your help was greatly appreciated.

Let's see what the next year of Steemit brings. Hopefully better prices. LOL
