Steemit.com simple interface improvement idea

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Still lean and mean, almost looking the same but much more organized. We now have 3 columns for different subjects.
When someone comes to someone's blog, first they want to know who the person is. A 10 min scrolling is not the way to go. So, the introduction post has moved up on top of the screen.
On mobile devices all this can be easily implemented in the form of a menu.

Tell me your ideas about it. Let's make Steemit.com even better, together!

looks good, but i want to experience a working version

I think a lot of the problem of implementing this comes from the fact that Steemit.com needs to identify those posts directly from the blockchain. I mean the blockchain need a way to specify which post is part of what so that Steemit can identify them.

Huh, I agree, but cannot see this happen without some AI bot :D

Doesn't the actual working version come after an overall agree on design?

or just an easy way to earn some steem

I'm afraid you misunderstood my intention.
This is an idea for a better design. Pls don't upvote it if you think it sucks :)

ok, i removed my upvote, was just trying to be nice with the upvote, but you are right

If you don't find the idea of new design good, why on earth would you upvote?
Cheers man, have a good one!

Yep. Steemit really needs to get their act together when it comes to resteems and giving authors more control over their blog page. I like to post deep dives and short news updates. My long reads get hidden under all of the other posts and resteems.

That's it! :)
I just have no idea who should read this in order for change to take place :D

Others and I have expressed these issues. I think they are working on it lol... community features should help some.

Awesome! :-)

We would love to see one more organized front page. We like your idea!

Great idea, hope this and other feed improvements will come

Thank you, Uwe!

I like the direction you are taking here with the UI.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Wow amazing growth. You just joined 2 months ago and here you are enjoying the essence of the platform. Congratulations.

Didn't understand what you mean.

You are earning continuous rewards in every post you have.

Yes, I do. I believe in good, original content and seriously investing time and money to create it. But, what it has to do with improved interface? :)

I was not talking about the interface. I'm referring to your success in the platform. :)

Hahaha, yes I got it now :) Did sound strange if referred to the post :D

Seems like a great idea to me! But I'm not a developer, so no idea how one goes about making this happen. And as Craig says, it would be great to see it in action first :) Somehow....

As the title says, I conceived the idea. If people think its is a valuable change, the programming shouldn't be a problem. I'm not a programmer, but will surely cooperate with one.

Definitely! Differentiating between your blogs and your resteems is something I'd love to see. It's a bit confusing now.

Thats the idea... Organized blog page instead of a long confusing sausage...
