Surviving the anxiety on Steemit (and life in gerneral)

You don't have to be on Steemit for long to know that a lot of people are struggling to understand the complexity of voting algorithms, you can see posts about these regularly and also about addiction to Steemit. 

Even if you are a block chain genius and breath crypto currency, one thing is for sure that you'll not be spared from the ups and downs of the platform, one day you might be raking in votes on a post and the very next day your post might slip unnoticed in sea of ever growing posts.

When we spend so much of our time on a platform, we start to invest emotionally in it. The pain from loss of an opportunity to earn some steem dollars is easily dwarfed by the rejection we feel from not being noticed by other people on the platform. Our moods start to be governed by response met to our posts.

I feel jumping from highs to lows can be very tanking emotionally and with this post I want to present a perspective which should prevent us from being taken on a ride emotionally.


So let's start with some questions:


Is there more to your personality then what is in your posts?

I am sure yes(even if you're not).

Do you have someone in your life who loves you?

Pretty sure, yes.

Do you think they would you treat you differently if they found out your posts got  lots or didn't get enough votes?

Definitely NO.

If they won't then why do you take yourself on a emotional ride for some votes.

Your posts are not you, they are just your work and they will never be appreciated equally. The ancient Indian text of Bhagwad Gita puts forward a clear approach in order to save yourself from the emotional turmoil.
