For most of us here Steemit has been a wonderful and fun addition to our lives, but it wasn't the same when we first landed here. So let us reminisce the roller coaster ride it has been.

Day 1: Disbelief

You looked at the $ number below the posts and said to yourself,no this cannot be real.

Day 2: Confusion

You tried very hard to wrap you brain around terms like whales, dolphins, curation rewards, author rewards, steem power, steem power.

Day 3: Disappointment

Your wrote your first post and couldn't cross $1. You were really sad and wondered where did it all go wrong.

Day 4:Sounds of ka-ching!

You tried again, worked hard on a new post. You pressed submit button and looked away from screen for a second and BOOM! $300.You were so happy, you could well see your future with steemit and wanted to call work and resign.

Day 5: Some more disappointment

You now started taking steemit very seriously and worked very hard on new posts, but could never go above $20. This time it was disappointed coupled with frustration.

Day 6: Greed

You became so envious of the whales and realised how important steem power was to make your posts earn big. So started up voting all the posts that you felt were going earn big, even if they had no content value.

Day 7: Fighting the urge

Today you are calmer, you are seeing that cleavage parading posts are getting lesser and lesser votes, scammers are being exposed everyday and  start to feel the community vibe. So  now when you see posts with nothing but up close selfies and tattoos, you fight the urge to up vote for the sake of the community.
