If you have been blogging in secret on Steemit, then it's time to make a change.

So, you've been silently slaving away producing content for Steemit right? If you're anything like me, you're quiet and generally think people don't want to know what's going on in your life. It's time to change that. Start shoving Steemit down their throat, because after all, it's good for both of you. Okay, that was a violent analogy, don't do that.

But let's get serious for a moment

More users on Steemit means that there are more people to vote on your post, more people to comment on your post, more people to generate steem, and more people to push Steemit upwards in success. As more people join Steemit and the platform gains even greater traction, your value as a blogger here is only going to increase.

More people may not necessarily mean you get higher payouts, but it does drive the value of Steem up. Among many other factors, more users and more content on Steemit will drive your valuation higher. To attract more users, thus generating greater value, you need to start promoting Steemit as the incredible blogging platform as it is.

Many may be thinking, "Oh, I don't want to get more people involved, they may produce better content than me and push me out of success." That's stupid. Don't be that guy. If your content is really good and deserving of upvotes, it won't matter how many people are on Steemit. Better yet, if your content is really deserving of upvotes, those new users will likely be sure to upvote and comment on your post. All the better for you. After all, we're all doing this for selfish reasons right? No one could POSSIBLY be writing on Steemit because they actually love writing and blogging.

If the sarcasm didn't slap you in the face there, you're reading this wrong.

BACK TO THE ISSUES.

You should be promoting steemit like you promote taking care of babies. Or promoting steemit like that annoying friend from high school that got involved in some MLM business and is now trying to sell you some obscure protein powder that he says is sure to make you ripped and attract all the ladies but it really just makes your sweat smell like cat piss. Take that run on sentence nazis.

Promote Steemit because it betters your blogging platform. It makes success for you and other good content producers that much more likely. And lastly, promote Steemit because if the Steem valuation goes up, you make more money.

It's that simple.

Now that we've had this lovely discussion, if you aren't posting some kind of status or tweet or selfie about Steemit on other social medias, then you're wrong. DO IT.
