The very first tip of this information is incorrect! That would lead to the voter getting NOTHING.

Steemit needs officially sanctioned Guides, not incorrect information thrown together just trying to make a buck.
insted of just saying that the information is incorrect, can you please clearify here how it really is?
All up vote rewards within the first 15 minutes go to the author not the curators.
The point is, you shouldn't listen to me either. I had to rely on third party information too.
People should be getting the information from steemitblog, or some official steemit source.
