Kid's Summer Camp On The Blockchain

Summers were hot where I grew up. It was Florida and in the country. No real stores other than the gas station, a post office and a restaurant within seventeen miles. Did I mention, it got hot in the summer?

Actually, it was brutal, and we didn’t have computers or the internet yet. No cable television, so there was a lot of outdoor playing even when the parents weren’t around. You see, back in the… I can’t believe I’m going to it say this way… “good old days”, we could go outside and not risk being kidnapped and becoming a sex slave.

Today, kids have it tough. I feel sorry for them when they can’t go ride their bikes until sunset with their neighborhood friends without supervision.

So, unless your family had a vacation planned, there was going to be some weird agenda that had to be considered. Were you going to be sent to daytime church camp? Summer sleepover camp? Visiting relatives on your own? Does one neighbor lady keep an eye on everyone because their family has a pool? What happens now? Do you send your kids to day care when they’re not in school? How does that work when you’re twelve? Embarrassing.

I remember staying a home alone at that age. Maybe not for the whole day, but it wasn’t unusual.
Anyway, the purpose of this post is to have parents consider getting their kids on #STEEMIT and doing a “summer vacation camp on the blockchain” where they can document their summer and possibly earn a little something on the side. And by something, I mean #crypto in the form of #STEEM #SP and #SBD s.

It could be a very simple thing where parents give their kids a summer allowance of $100 in STEEMIT and they post a simple summer vacation photo every day. They use a hashtag like #kidssummer2018 and perhaps some very kind people will upvote their pictures.

If their parents are savvy, they could buy a few small upvotes and between that and organic upvotes, the kids could make enough cash to pay for the extra cool back to school stuff, their parents won’t buy them.

I used to love summer hobbies. This would be a really, good, educational one with some blockchain action.

Who would support this? I would happily upvote a few kids and have my family do so as well. Perhaps even #DELEGATE a little #STEEM so they can really see how #STEEMIT was built.
