HowtoforDummies: Making an Awesome Personalized Cover Image
Yo!
The addition of cover image is looking good on steemit!!! This will definitely be a great way to show off your profile to other steemians😎👌
Well! I will also show off my own personalized cover image! So, Here it is:👇
I know it's not that great, but It's my own personalized banner so I'm proud to show it! 😁
How I made it!?
It's fairly simple, you don't need to be good at photoshop or affinity(like ME) to create something awesome! The tools are their to help with it and also my guide😁,so without further adieu let's get on with it!!!
The 1st Step
Think of a theme that would suite your profile or the things that your interested in or the things that you love, It may be landscapes, clouds,digital art,etc (mine is the ocean, because I love the ocean). So, when a steemian visits your profile, he/she will get to see the things that your interested in.
The 2nd Step
After you are sure on what theme you want, go to canva.com and register(you can use gmail or fb or any email that you have. I used canva because it is easy to use and their UI is so smooth and so easy to use. They also provide great templates for easy editing.
The 3rd Step
Once you finished signing up, pick the etsy cover photo because it has the same width as the steemit dimension.
The 4th Step
As you can see, It has a lot of templates at the side. You can use those templates, they are separated by tabs so click on the tabs to show the other template designs neccessary for your cover image
You can also upload your own picture to serve as your background, Just click on the Uploads tab
The 5th Step
Click or drag you background image to the Tabula rasa(blank canvas).at first it will look like this👇
Just drag the image to fit the screen, to create something like this.It is now looking good👌
The 6th Step
Cut out pictures of you from a photo using photoshop, or whatever software that you have that can cut out pictures. I used photoshop because it's easy to cut out images even for me. hehe. Just use the magnetic lasso tool and hover around the picture that you want to get.
After you have finished selecting the image, click the right click --> then select layer via cut (this will create a new layer that has the image of the thing that you have selected to cut out from the rest), then delete the background and bwala!
It's now really a perfect cut, but that would do for now. You can also create a new layer, to change the brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness and etc.
The Step 6
After you have cut you images and uploaded it in canva, you can now arrange them to your liking!!! *Be Creative and Have Fun doing it😄
The Note*
Make a rectangular guideline(1203x177) at the center of the image, this will be your guideline to the length of the steemit profile . 
The Step 7
After you have the correct placement of your figures in your image, you can now choose to save it or directly save it to your steemit cover image.
