Kickstarter for steemit dollars!
Here's my idea-
Create a website like kickstarter where people can make their ideas become reality by crowdfunding- but with SD - the domain I was thinking is available
What do you think? good idea? It would be pledging Steem dollars towards a project or goal... once the needed amount is met, then it is released from escrow-- or if not met- refunded back to the user.
I think steemit by it's very nature is a crowdfunding site. Check out something I just posted minutes ago. I'm trying to do something like this.

Isn't this basically what they were trying to do the with the DAO?
please explain- what is the dao? I'm new to all this lol
The DAO was a decentralized autonomous organization that was built on the etheruem blockchain that was going to function essentially as a venture capital hedge fund. Projects were going to be voted on and funded by people that held DAO tokens depending on how much was funded and by who that user would have received a dividend proportional to the amount they contributed. There was a hack that froze up many of the tokens and seemed to take the wind out of its sails.

You can already do this with BitShares, which shares the same technology with Steemit.

not exactly. Kickstarter gives money to fund raiser only if goal is reached. METAEXCHANGE don't even meet their goal.
