Quick Witness Update
My witness is called "steemgigs" to represent "everyone has something to offer".
My witness has been upgrades successfully to version 20.5 and is back up. I did lose many votes during this period when it was disabled and have now jumped all the way down to position 68.

Quick Me & Steem Update
When the fork happened, how did i react? Well, overall, i paid attention to the "intention". I didn't expect perfection.
Overall, i didn't see how effective a full-blown pre-hardfork test, would have been sufficient to make sure this particular fork was all flawless.
This particular fork is called "velocity" and so called to highlight that we will be opening up steem to further and faster adoption. Thus, i expected this particular fork to attain success after months of use under "live" environment.
Altogether, I am never in expectation of "flawless" from "humans". I don't expect "flawless" from steem either. The more testimonial route is a harder route and steem does dare to take these routes.
On the positive side, it set a date after many have pushed for a date and this time, it tried to stick to it.
Besides this, if you have witness a HF on steem in the past, "history" can have helped you grasp the times now. Our strength, in truth, is in community and if this sticks "bulls or bears", then that's powerful and this showed with a HF in the past, where the reward pool went empty and needed a whole month to recover.
That particular HF was one to adjust the reward curve, allowing accounts with smaller vests to have more influence in how they can distribute rewards.
Note that there was also an entire hardfork that was rejected by top witnesses. This does show, that "we can have a say". However, to really have a say, we may need concerted focus and to not go "disconcerted" when a tech that we should be putting to use exhibits "flaws".
The blockchain isn't to fix us. The blockchain should find a fixing through us. And yes, "we take steem to the moon"; is the saying, according to me.
In truth, "steem" it is, to make the flaws, so that others can have it easier in their pursuit of "blockchain excellence". Steem is being among the first to try these things and perhaps, "the harder route" out. Perhaps, it would have done much better, if it had examples to look at.
If steem is trying out things, with its technology that haven't been done before now, then it is to make the flaws.
And as we say it #untalented, "we celebrate even the attempt at out-of-the-boxness".
Plus, can't we forgive flaws?
I do say "flaws allowed", for by this means, we can exercise forgiveness
Indeed, one of the reason for my affinity towards steem, is its flaws. I am not seeking a "flawless blockchain" as "where is the challenge there".
Plus, if it is "flawless", in my eyes, i will try to "remove the paint". Well, that is where my innovation-side will lean towards.
I do want to sift even the not-so-good, to find good therein or historical use for good. Plus, when humans can start to relate in peace even in the midst of chaos and grind even in the midst of bears, then that i consider more "proven growth".
According to me, world adjustment lies in us "attaining the awesomest version of our human" and the steem blockchain will find more of its own beauty, if we put it to use as a tool to that effect.
The emanation of "true celebrities", brothers etc; "that's something!" And we can apply the "steem blockchain" also to that effect, that this particular tech, can find its true shine.
We don't want just another tech, for that will fade.
Well, in the face of Hardfork 20 etc, which also affected my witness, keeping it offline for days and me losing votes and all etc, i am further inspired to "move". In the midst of my suffering and all, "i am coming" and however gradual, "we will move".
I have spent the last few days, building on the "growth model" for ulogs.org and i am drafting out a journal about it, which i will post in the coming days; this and the announcement of the Alpha version of ulogs.org for use.
We will heartily use this to promote steem more because according to me, there is an appeal in a blockchain that is not flawless and even to investors, for a "flawless blockchain" is not real, for humans it will host and humans aren't without flaws.
Even flaws can be put to testimonial good use. The moment we can start doing this, we are approaching "great".
Ulogs.org is modeled to incentivize us to "mine the human" into its awesomest version. En-route this very special journey and while in the art of ulogging, we will mine and evolve in our very substance and ofcourse, we will end up touching on & exercising "human virtues" like forgiveness etc
Ulogs.org will also play out #untalented. Thus, we will be celebrating even attempts at out-of-the-boxness. Plus, #teardrops will play out on ulogs.org too, further celebrating "human".
October is a strong month, for i will push once again. May i not collapse.
Final Note
With the recent patches, our ability to interact with steem has been improved. As seen in the screenshot below:
@steemgigs has only 59 SP, yet has allowance for some 90 comments and 438 votes. For "human interaction", this is something.
The more recent patch (20.5) was to make things better.
October here we come.

I think you have the right approach.
Amid difficulties is when you can see true friends and family; the same must be true for business. With so many non-business oriented people as part of this platform, there gotta be some better side of us outdoing the mere interestedness that moves business people and that can ruin something like Steemit before you can say Jack Robinson :)
