Designing 3D printable Steemit coins - Need your ideas!!
Since i own a 3D Printer i decided to design some printable coins.
This is the first one i came up with:
It look good but the only problem is i wont be able to print out the text around it. It's too small.
This is the second design, with bigger text now:
This text size or a little bigger should be okay as i want to print in diameter of 4cm or 1.57in.
I also did a small test print which required 4 changes of filament (plastic that 3D printers use) and it turned out pretty bad because some of my settings were off.
As you can see the nozzle was extruding too much plastic causing the text to be unreadable and the surface being rough.
If any of you know how to design some coins or have any ideas please post them here, i would really appreciate it. I will change my design a bit and tweak my print settings and hopefully post some new pics tomorrow.
Wow. Pretty cool. That would make for a nice marketing idea.
Thanks, i got this idea from seeing that other people have done printable coins for Bitcoin and Litecoin but there was none for steem, so i decided to design my own.

There is no way of getting them at the moment. I will make the design better and if people like it i might sell them.
