STEEMIT: Following on from the recent spike in New User Accounts registered I have reset the Year End Target to 550,000 Accounts..!!
TARGET NUMBER OF ACCOUNTS - YEAR END
Earlier today I published a Blog showing the STAGGERING 9,714 New Accounts that had been registered on STEEMIT in the last 2 days.
These 9,714 New Accounts prompted me to drill down in to data and I have now reset the Year End Target to 550,000 Accounts.
Back in mid January of this year we hit 125,000 Accounts and I am expecting that we will breach 200,000 Accounts in the next few days.
200,000 Accounts
As we did when we hit 100,000 Accounts I am sure that you will join me celebrating the 200,000 Account Milestone.
550,000 Account Year End Target
Based on the current data I have and a forward looking projection I have now reset the Target to 550,000 Accounts and will maintain this until further data comes in.

Thanks for the info! I know that more accounts mean more active accounts, but I would love to see numbers on active accounts as well, however you might define them.
I am very sure that you will have to reset the Year End Target to 750,000 very soon.

@stephenkendal good news for steemit however I am more optimistic that we might reach 600,000+ account by year end due to the positive attitude and stretegic promotion we are currently doing on behalf of steem. Moreover, I am optimistic that steemit will take u leadership role in social media segment if good improvements are implemented ...win win for all. Thanks for sharing

It would be wonderful, Steemit really has a huge potential. The media should talk about it.
As most startups will tell you, a growth graph only looks smooth when you zoom out.
I'm optimistic, but there will be ups and downs in the short run.
More interesting data would be attach rates and whether all these new users stick around and have activity .
Imagine how many it would be if steemit support actually answered new account questions? I waited for days with flukey registration issues I reported, only to get a response that basically said "sorry, we are in beta and not answering questions" to which I replied professionally how that would kill them dead in their project tracks, and was registered approved in a matter of hours after that with no response from support at all. Hmmm, my message hit home? Anyway, how many times have I heard, I registered but couldnt get in and gave up on steemit, already?
