Best time to post on STEEMIT. Think before you post any good article.

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Creating content is very easy, but making it popular is very difficult. If you are posting in wrong time, then it's extremely hard to get attention to your posts. I feel that great content has to get much attention, Every steemit blog post is just about 7 days to get a payout and it's not like other blogs where the content life time wallet.

So think before you post any great article on steemit. If your posts want's to reach the maximum number of audiences then consider the following tips

Steemit Userbase:

USA: 35%
South Korea: 9%
Germany: 5%
India: 5%
Others: 46%

Half of the steamed users are from the USA, South Korea, Germany and India. First think about what your targeted audiences? If they are South Koreans or Indian;s then post is in their Day time. If you want to target all the top country audiences then select the Common day time for all of these 5 countries. By doing this you will get more attention and your post can reach more people because that time only many people use this wonderful platform.

Best Days to Post Content on Steemit

Many people don't work on weekends you can see less attention on saturday's and Sundays and Sometimes on Friday too. So always choose the week days to post some great content on which you want more attention to it

Additional:

This is for new minnows I guess many people knows it, promote your content over steemit.chat promotions channel and on famous discord channels. Do some SEO for your blog by sharing on social media, commenting on famous related blog posts, participating in forums, bookmarking in google places and of famous websites like digg, Diigo, Folkd, reddit etc. So that people can reach your posts through google search too.

I have noticed that some times are better than others, but I have yet to pin down which time is best!

Another user posted a chart last week that shows the times with the highest payouts. I don't remember which user to credit but nonetheless, it should be shared around:

Hey Stefen,

Thanks for posting this. I just upvoted because I think it's great content.

This evening I've been working on a pretty personal post and was thinking about the best time to post it - both the day of week and time of day.

I'll likely post it tomorrow, but I'll do it closer to noon rather than in the morning, so the whole Continental USA is up and running.

I look forward to reading more of your posts.

Thanks @solarshepra . All the best for your future posts.

This is a well written post. I have been on steemit for over 2 months. I enjoyed writing and commenting and did not care about payouts. It has taken me a while to start getting a little disgusted about the platform. There is no way a minnow can get anywhere on this platform. On the other hand most monies are exchanged between people of high steem value and you are rewarded if you invest in steem. Although your article is great, I find it hard to believe that by doing the above things you can gain more traction. It is disappointing but it is a fact. The simple fact is that you have to put in money to make any money here. People have tried all sorts of such tricks. Even if the follower base is 500 plus, you get very few upvotes and even a 100 upvotes may get you a dollar or two. Unless you love typing and posting, there is no way forward but to buy Steem. I can see why retention is low.

This true but if you are posting any good article without investment you must follow certain methods to get many views.

Stefen. I think your ideas are great. Reality is tough on this platform

Very well outlined. I also like the work on the SEO side of your writing.

Thanks. Appreciated :-)

Thanks. Helpful

Have you done a study? Can you provide some Intel if you did? and how?

I Did a plenty of research on steemit, Unless you are famous and has many followers your post won't reach big audiences. The only way to survive your posts is posting in the right time where there are plenty people are online.

Is there any monitor that can estimate people online you know of?

There is no official website for that to check out the number of people online. Consider the time gap between the each new post. And check through trail and error method. And you can checkout your steem activity here.

Good stuff to consider. You got my follow

thanks :-)
