In typography, Italic type is a cursive font based on a stylized form of calligraphic handwriting. Owing to the influence from calligraphy, such fonts normally slant slightly to the right. Italics are a way to emphasise key points in a printed text, or when quoting a speaker a way to show which words they stressed

Bold

A set of type characters that are darker and heavier than normal. A bold font implies that each character was originally designed with a heavier appearance rather than created on the fly from a normal character.

Markdown Tutorial

  • Make Text a Header
  • Make Text Italic
  • Make Text Bold

Headers

Let's make our Text a Header by adjusting it's Font Size, this will enlarge the Text to capture the Reader's Mind.
There are several sizes for Headers, however with Markdown you can switch between the sizes easily based on preferences

To make certain text a header, just place 1 pound sign "#" or up to 6 #'s in a row like this "######" to adjust the sizing of the Header. This leaves you a choice of 6 different sized Headers and you'll notice that the more ''#'' used the smaller the header while using less Pounds Signs result in a larger font size

The Biggest Header Size Possible

2nd Largest Header

3rd Largest Header

4th Largest Header

5th Largest Header
6th Largest Header

To enlarge Text to header sizing, just include a # or <h(?)> before the Text
( ? is number between 1-6)

Italic Font

Let's make Text Italic by making it more of a cursive font

All you need to do is, add 1

*
before & after your desired text

This can be done in middle of sentence several times and you can also make a whole sentenc Italic, as any text written in between the 2 *'s turn to Italic Font

*~Your Text will be Italic~ *

2 Codes to Remember

Bold Font
