This season sees the introduction of the Teaching Teams alongside the

Steemit Engagement Challenge Contests

Here are the contests for Week 4 of Season 19 of the Engagement Challenge…

Teaching Teams

Here are the Teaching Team lessons and assignments for Week 4 of Season 19…

These contests will run from today until 11.59pm UTC, on Sunday, August 4th, 2024.

To have the best chance of winning in the Steemit Engagement Challenge you should enter as many of the contests, and do as many of the course assignments, as possible.

You must be in #club5050, #club75 or #club100 to take part in the Challenge.

Make sure you also carefully check the rules of each individual contest and course assignment.

Steemit Engagement Challenge Rewards

The Challenge communities and Teaching Teams must ensure they promptly check and comment on all contest entries and assignment posts. The minimum they should check for are Steem exclusivity, plagiarism and bot use.

To help @steemcurator01 and @steemcurato02 curate the contest posts more effectively we are looking for community Mods and Teaching Teams to use a clear, simple and easy to read comment format.

At the end of each week all Challenge communities and Teaching Teams should make a post announcing the three people who have demonstrated the most engagement both through the quality of their posts and the quantity and quality of their comments on other people’s posts.

We will leave it to each community and Teaching Team to decide how they select their weekly winners, but they should include in their announcement posts a brief summary of their selection process.

All the Season 19 weekly winners, as well as the community announcement posts, will receive extra prize votes from @steemcurator01.

We hope you are all enjoying taking part in this new style season of the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

Feedback on the Teaching Team courses and assignments will be particularly useful to help us determine how we take forward this new form of the Engagement Challenge.

What are your opinions on the new Teaching Teams versus the traditional style of Engagement Challenges?

What are your opinions on the new Teaching Teams versus the traditional style of Engagement Challenges?

The new teaching team idea is great, but I think the teachers are actually giving some difficult tasks that should not be. This has made the traffic we usually have on engagements reduced.

A lot of people find it difficult to go purchase materials that would be needed for these assignments. If they could give an easy task that everyone can possibly afford, then we see this engagement rising to its peak again.

Personally, the gastronomy lecture has helped me greatly, although that's my field and their task is just a practical aspect of what you have learned. Cooking is what everyone do on a daily basis and the requirements are what we have available in the kitchen. If other teaching teams would give assignments to suit the students, that would be great. A lot of users have interest in one or two teaching classes but can't afford to practice due to their requirements.

The traditional style of engagement was more enjoyable by users, but I think the tasks given in the new teaching class are what scares them away, so it needs to be looked into.

Are our classes scary for you too, can you be a teacher for your children at home?

What are your opinions on the new Teaching Teams versus the traditional style of Engagement Challenges?

I think the idea is a very good one. Over the past few weeks, I have learned a lot from the various teaching teams. As a computer scientist and a Teacher in the high school, the teaching team has helped me to learn a lot.

I think the teaching team should be selected based on topics that are general and affect all users.

Everyone goes to school and that is why we have the brilliant teachers team to educate us on how to properly teach students and methods to help the students understand better. Here both students and teachers are guided.

Programming is a course that everyone can also learn because you don't need additional devices or material to learn it. Your smartphone or computer which you use for blogging initially can solve the task. You must not be a science student to learn programming so it is a general knowledge everyone is expected to have.

For the electronic teams, I think they are giving a contest that everyone can't enter based on their requirements. Devices they use for their practicals are not something regular and for that reason, many people don't enter the contest.

Most of these devices they use are very expensive and most users who will want to participate can't lay their hands on it.

So my opinion is that teaching teams should always have a contest that doesn't require Steemians to get extra devices to perform a task since we are not all science students and we are not all commercial students. There should be a balance ⚖️.

  • Electronics is practical or what people might call "DIY", NOT an essay writing. It is more of designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting electronic circuits. And these all involves components and tools. If this program must have values, it has to be like what people learn in real lives on a particular skills. This way, they can even use what they learn in real life too. (We understand this is not really easy for those who doesn't have interest at all in this skill or for the copy and paste users who are only interested on votes.)

  • Components can be found in most electronics repairs shops. Seriouse and interested users who really wants to learn can always sacrifice that. Additionally, in Nigeria we have Jumia and Konga, other countries have where those components could be purchased either online or in a physical shop.

  • As for their prices, they are not really expensive as you emphasized.

All the contents are very important and interesting for everyone life. I will definitely participate 👍

What do you think of the new Teaching Teams compared to the traditional Engagement Challenge style?

I am on the teaching team of "The Brilliant teacher," over the few weeks that the program has been running we have discovered many great teachers who are on the Steemit platform. They have all provided quality posts making it very difficult for our team to choose a winner every week.

We are happy to have found all the great teachers from various countries through the Steemit platform, through this platform we hope they can continue to improve their knowledge and skills in teaching.

We also open the widest opportunity for all participants to enter our contest, the contests we have organized are not only focused on those who are teachers by profession.

Moms and dads are teachers to their children at home, students can also share their point of view when teaching something to their friends. Those who receive training in the workplace can also express their views on the training process they are involved in. So we are open to anyone. Therefore, we always try to present contests that are easy for everyone to participate in.

I think social media is a place where we can have fun and learn something simple, considering that there are many users on Steemit from various occupations and education levels, so all the materials and tasks given must be presented simply and easily understood by everyone.

Traditional Engagement Challenges? I think the old style challenges also need to be continued, those who are not interested in taking part in challenges from the teaching team can take part in general challenges.

@simonnwigwe @lil.albab

I must say the process of checking posts has great/y increased.

Me salvaron la vida . Thanks

What are your opinions on the new Teaching Teams versus the traditional style of Engagement Challenges?

This new kind of competition offers us the opportunity to learn a lot, however 60% of the participants are housewives and laypeople. They don't seem to need extremely complicated tasks or knowledge, in my opinion. If the task assigned to them is simple enough, everyone will engage, regardless of your level of knowledge. It takes at least two days to sort out their task. In this case it is impossible to participate in other competitions On the other hand, even if it is challenging, I believe they will join if it is helpful. because Steemit Crypto Academy has taught a lot of people in the past. Many steemians interestingly learned and finished the assigned tasks. Our knowledge of Steemit and cryptocurrencies was the cause. If it were so simple and helpful, I humbly believe that more people would take part. Finally, the traditional engagement challenges are better than teaching team tasks.

The new teaching styles classes are really much enjoyable just I want to see more addition in this, like video editing classes for adobe premiere pro users, and photo editing classes for Photoshop and other software users. Just like we are going through @starrchris star classes, in html and CSS.
I had one question can we do these assignments two or three in one day? Or we have to do one post per day.?
