No doubt Steemit is completely Follower based, the more the follower the more you get visibility. Even, on many occasion, @Utopian-io bot commented users to increase the follower to those having less 500 follower. The follower can be increased through posting quality good content and through regular interaction with user via #steemitchat or through different groups on discord.

There are two important things on Steemit, “Follower” and “Following”.

Follower are those who “Follow You” and Following is “Whom you Follow”.. The question is how you decide and chose “Whom you Follow on Steemit?

Looking some of the trend lately I have observed, that many user has chosen to follow some especially big whales on the following basis:

• Reputation Score: The reputation score of the user defines the status of the user, many user used to follow people having high rank. Not sure the reason, but going by the human mentality it due to the fact, they believe higher the rank means higher experience. And following such people of higher rank enables them to learn them to grow.

• User Wallet : Wallet balance is the big factor in getting someone follow. Being an open source platform, peeing into any wallet is the easies thing.Many user might be on the dilemma that Higher the wallet, higher the upvotes. They might believe that following such people with heavier wallet help them in earning quick bucks. But beware mere following bigger wallet, does not entitle you you to get noticed/upvotes. You are following them , they are not.

One thing is pretty clear that, Steemit is Blogers paradise. There are so many good content available on the platform to access and read. The best way to Follow someone is to choose the subject of your interest. And then find the best post submitted on the subject. You may easily do so by filtering out the available steemit tags.

If you feel and find the content to be good enough and has the quality to make a mark on your mind, you may start to follow the author, so that you get easily accessible for there next blogs or post. You may leave a comment there on, instead of begging for upvotes .

Steemit is not the source of making Quick bucks. Leave the thought outside, before entering into the amazing sphere. You will get automatically rewarded through your good work and content. The user of higher rank as well as user of heavier wallet do keep a check on the good post and content time to time. Make your presence on the Sphere through some quality work. Big Whales of Higher Reputation and Heavier Wallet have reached on that position through their effort and they were not knighted overnight.

Even though you have written a quality post, do not reach out to the Big Whales, for upvotes. Reaching them and begging for upvotes might create a bad impression. Continously doing so, you maight be flagged or muted.
You need to keep patient and work on the content. The more you post good content, you automatically get recognised some day. It is all about patience game.
