Steemit is not like other social networks
I mean could you imagine if millions of people were posting the same dumb posts flooding Steemit with nonsense?
It would be a nightmare here, and people would probably rather filter through their "already built Twitter following with a larger hashtag database" than we have here..
Instead Steemit is a new virtual network of creative individuals who have come together in search of a place to share their own creative content!
Content that some of us may or may not have spent the past few years creating for FREE..
Whether you..
- Share your latest artwork to Instagram
- Upload your latest cover/original video to Youtube
- And even the people who play downtown for free just to get heard
Steemit has now created a market for this content!
For people creating content that have been in an advertising/affiliate marketing battle for the last decade, when really you just want to create & share great content..
People ARE getting paid on Steemit for posting, and this is new and creative content.. So if you have something unique and valuable to share then I promise you Steemit is the place to share it!

Spot on post! I take advantage of the free blog platform to post my podcast (new content) here without paying hosting, as well as am reposting my old waiter blog that I did years back on blogger for no pay. It's really rewarding to earn even pennies (but oftentimes dollars too!) to post what I'm used to posting for free, esp knowing how much it could be worth years from now if Steem explodes anything like Bitcoin.

Yeah, I've always been confused about the comparison to FB. This isn't anything like FB.
Steemit is the first social network which is a free market based on the blockChain and uses CryptoCoins for payment.
