RE: Daily Steem Price Update 9/6/2025
I think if bitcoins as another big fall it could pull steem under the 0.10 mark, which is worrisome but as happened before and recovered.
I can't remember what the Steem price was.. maybe like 15 or 18 cents and I worked it out if I had a spare 80k laying around I could of got myself only half a million Steem, this was after all the gas fees etc because one cannot just simply buy Steem and instead must swap out other cryptos for it. Same with the US I hear they can't find anywhere to even purchase Steem due to our friends at the government.
However if you managed to get Steem at say 15 and sell for 30 it's not too terrible, its gets you that bagel and a coke you mention, but no lambos or enough to plan a escape. but guess it depends on how much you put down
I still remember those days well went people were investing a lot more into the Steem token, I still believe this token can help so many people, however maybe not in this lifetime for us.. but who knows, I must at least try, or live the mundane, maybe it won't even be steem but I think something very much like it can pull many people out of the financial problems caused by those above, like btc did.
I feel like if people really understood Steem they could give themselves a better life, but unfortunately most on here seem to be under the illusion steem is some kind of charity, when it's really NOT!
I'm very glad to hear your keeping your Steem and not selling it, if you get enough it starts to pay for itself. People need to think of it almost like running a business, if you hold steem then you can truly help others, for example I appreciate all the votes I have received from you and I have given back, like this we can keep building, and eventually that will grow faster and faster.
Which reminds me congrts on the that big upvote you got a few days ago you deserved that.
I think your on the right track with the idea to only power down if you have enough to escape or fulfil a dream, anything less than is likely to cause you more trouble than it's worth, at least from the sounds of things Belgium.
Still thanks for the support, stick around as I do plan to grow the account a lot more in the next few months, or not, let's see how it all goes and where it takes us.
As for in Colombia yes I heard about that a few years ago you don't pay taxes on the first 10k you make each year from what I know that still stands today, I agree that it's definitely a option but there is of course much to think about when moving.
I do believe the state wants you to be dependant on them, while they have a lot of systems here to supposedly help you they do seem to also trap you in it in strange ways (financially) where you just can't escape them. Not the help they promised to lift you out of trouble.
Yes I believe there is a possibility that your pension can be lost if you move abroad but I think it depends on a few factors, it's all ridiculous and so one better hope their money is good before making any moves. slavery till death.
Free speech as been going downhill fast over the years, it's so disgusting that real crimes where people get hurt or killed and little gets done or said about but the police seem to have time and the funds to chase down someone who said hurty words on stupidbook or twatersX about their neighbour down the road.
If steem drops to 1 cent I know I would definitely still try to get 1 or 2 mill, however after reaching the top 10 I'm not sure where I would go from there. I guess I would try to turn things around, "support for the investors" I say! well at least for a while but if that doesn't work.. I guess I would just hodl and face this hellhole that is supposedly living life. like a good little slave
Yeah do write when you get those bursts as I do enjoy reading your posts especially about the cats and games, life in Belgium.
