RE: Daily Steem Price Update 9/6/2025
strangely enough the drop-down effect you would get on a BTC run seems to have diminished ... didnt notice much of it - steemit even went down from 20 to 15 ... well 14 atm, coming from 13 ...
makes trading hard if you're under 6 digits (in euros ... or pounds in your case i guess)
also, i dont know about how the UK does, if here we bought 1 million steem at 13 cents its 130000 but you have to pay standard luxury VAT so at 21% you get 27000 extra meaning you have 157000, if it goes to 15 normally you could sell if you are in the six digits and even after taxes have enough to buy a bagel and a coke however like this you already have to pay more than the selling price due to the VAT ... its more like sabotage lol
yea, you certainly been at it since i can remember . For some reason someone who lived on the internet like this one missed the very existence of steemit for about 2 years i think, came in when the price was around $7 , it all looked very promising ...
i havent sold one cent yet either so far though, not this and not the other coins i could scrap together over the years (tho some of those been bought so at 21% they need some serious rising before it could be sold at a profit) ...
at any rate ... nobody here plans on selling unless its worth it, if its not enough we'll just leave it in the accounts as an offering to the gods so at least the pull vendetta on the humans who did it hahah
keep it up !
hodl till you drop lol
hemmm, since we seem to be in elaborate mode might as well add some ...
I guess it depends a lot on how much the state is willing to provide options for the people to be independent (of the state) ... Saudi Arabia (but also monaco and others) have no income tax for instance, in Colombia you dont pay taxes on the first 10k you make each year (someone here told me that once and i actually verified that it still seems to be true today) - so probably no wellfare but the first 10k is free - a trade-off, but also an option , opposed to control freakery and OCD taxing like europe (its not just belgium im sure but the western side of europe) like what i just said on crypto (but thats just one thing) ... if they leave more slack open you get more chances, right ?
if not they actually prevent independence in a lot of ways , its almost like that want to keep peoples depended on the state (i think someone here told me you lose your pension or part of it if you move to another country after a work of hard life and dont keep an address here ... and lots of stuff, you know ... im sure the UK has its stuff, its a bit notorious for having its stuff lol how much of that is true is ofcourse better known to those who live there and less to those who dont. You can never trust mass-media on any platform from either side to be factual about any of the other sides.
Last thing i caught on the UK was crazy sentencing on "speech crime" ... like a bit into the absurd 20 months for a facebook post and what not (here 2 years ago they rammed a police station and set it on fire and basically went home scot-free lol ... strange thing, this soviet-democracy)
And the investing, i remember the old man before the turned into a zombie doing stuff lke that , worked in "the bank" all his life too (ppl back then only had one job a lifetime right, not 50 or 60 like we would - where they go "cant keep a job" and i always have to say "I GOT HIRED 60 TIMES" (lol) ... how about that ....)
They have these clubs, but thats for people who have spare money, they put down a 1000 for the hobbyists each, or 10k for those who really wanna try to get some beermoney, money everyone can just afford to lose ofcourse, its definitely not for everyone. If you go up one notch the social ladder everyone puts in 50 or 100k and you get your six digit number - the divvy is low but its still a profit.
Ofcourse you need trusted parties or else a notary or lawyer but then you're not just paying the state, you're paying fees ...
Same thing applies tho, if you have to pay 21% up front its gonna be a bit hard, you need heavy longterm investments on shares that cost so much the return will be minimal anyway , AND you have to divide it by the number of ppl involved and their relative share
a system that works, i dont know how they do the decision making i bet one or two or more are "financial experts" professionally
or they do this divining on charts with double bottoms and tops but as a hunch i bet warren buffett the king himself rarely actually goes by those ...
public sentiment is probably a lot more important (like how musk did Tesla a solid with BTC by basically trending it himself via twitter)
...
aaaaan CUT (lol)
before i hit the 16kb limit
...
well even if STEEM would drop to a cent i probably still stick to the thing (if the boss-man keeps it running ofcourse) id miss it even if im not really active, just some bursts now and then ...
