How to Succeed as a Writer
Write from your heart. Write from your experience. To make it as a writer, you must write because you love it. Would you write even if you made no money from it? That is when you know writing is what you should be doing.
Don’t write in expectation of a paycheck. Your readers will pick up on that. If you write from your heart, your audience will feel your emotion- not your expectation.
Write like you are talking to a friend. Write in a conversational tone, just like you would if you were explaining something. Talk about your passions- you should be writing about something you can talk about all day to your friends.
Write with passion and without restraint. Write for you and you alone- anyone else will come if they are interested. Not everyone will want to hear what you have to say, and that’s ok! The ones who do will be lifelong loyal readers.

Not a few of us steemians, writing for salary expectation, seldom do we find sincere writers from the deepest heart without wishing for anything. In fact, everything we start from the heart is an infinite satisfaction, so that writing is able to represent a very honest feeling, not something fake.

I agree with you. Create your own style and as you said,n write like you are speaking to your friend next door.
Truer words has never been spoken. I had to learn this the hard way. If you aren't writing from your experience, then research so hard on the subject matter that you literally live it. Otherwise you'll come off as an invompetent fraud.
True. True. True! The way steemit is set up with the slow growing "wallet" is brilliant because people who don't write for the love of it become bored and move on to other pursuits.
