Steemit page view icon
Does anybody know what happened to it? It came and then it went. We were horrified to see that we were getting about five actual page views for each hundred upvotes. Holy crap is everyone on Steemit a bot?
I guess nobody will answer this question because everyone is a bot...

I guess they took it off because everyone else is freaking out and saying the same thing.

I made the same observations. That's steemit. I enjoy the number of clicks.
And I enjoy the number of votes. The comparision between these both numbers may be weird. But at the end it doesn't matter for me. I by myself try to open each post the I (or my bot) voted. Thanks for writing. Upvoted.
I published one post and observed nearly 50 views compared to the 100 votes. I was going to take a picture and brag it up a bit. Then the post after that I had nearly 50 votes and 5 views... that put me in my place.
I saw many people getting a nice pay day for around 10 views and 200 votes. I'm not jealous. I hope it comes back soon.
*edit- And what are the odds the moment I type this response, the view thing comes back?
Better than having 200 views and 10 upvotes. That would hurt.
That would be a good indication it may be time to change a few things.
Yup! @sift666 hasn't even warmed up his vapouriser yet, and it's baaaackk....
I could already see (through SteemStats) that many of my upvotes were auto-votes, bots or curation trails, and I'm just fine with that. But I'm interested to how how the actual views change with different days, different times and different topics. That info is useful.
Yeah I'm not complaining. It is discouraging to see some earning top rewards, and nobody reads their stuff. Discouraging for them, at least. The views do put things in better perspective for everyone. Some might even start manually voting again, imagine that.
Gasp! Imagine that indeed.
I'm not discouraged yet, but a few more posts with that number of views and I might be.
