Steemit Price is Down: Buy or Sell?
I have been investing in Steem for several months now it’s price was around 10$ USD when I started and I clearly remember being told that the people who got into Steem when it was a lot less than a dollar are rich now and they are very lucky.
I studied the platform and liked the way people who produce content could make money. I bought Steem and started on my journey. It has been a difficult task to be successful here, but I have persevered and graduated from Plankton to Minnow.
So now I have a new goal to become a Dolphin.
But everyday I still say to myself, if only I had discovered Steemit sooner and bought Steem when it was cheaper.
Well now Steem has dropped from 10.00 USD to less than 1.00 USD!
So I asked myself a few questions:
- Do I still think the platform is great for paying people for content? Yes
- Do I still think tremendous growth is occurring as Steemit communities are created in multiple countries? Yes
- Did Steemit hit one million users a short while ago? Yes
- If I liked Steem at 10$ USD, do I love it at 0.88 USD?Yes
Warren Buffett, the billionaire stock investor was asked his secrets of success and a few of the quotes I remember most are:

So tell me, what are you putting out? A bucket or a thimble?

Thanks for the encouragement.
It’s really funny that you point out that practically all of us have been wishing we bought Steem when the whales because it was cheap then and we could buy a lot!
Now it’s time to put our money where our mouth is!

Trader buys low and sells high, sounds simple enough but few can actually do it.
True. The test of true trader is doing your own research and if good companies price is depressed by bear market the rule is to buy.
I have read in a post by Dan Larrimer, one of Steemit cofounders that curation rewards can be increased both by timing and by increasing the amount you contribute to the rewards. I think this reference to “how much you contribute to the posts rewards” can mean two things:
1st the strength of your upvote in terms of Steempower and percentage of voting power used.
2nd the amount you contribute via BidBots. I think it may be mathematically possible to make your curation rewards greater by magnifying your contribution to the total rewards.

VP and VS definately play a role. Also vote should drop after 30 min and before major votes drop. I usually upvote a post with less than 50 cents current vote, which is about to get votes of around 25$ plus. In this case i will definately maje more than 100% in curation.
