With this sorting method, are you using the reputation score as shown next to one's name? Or are you using the underlying number, before the log function is applied?
If you're doing the former, it gives a huge advantage to lower reputation scores, and if you're doing the latter, it more accurately represents the real reputation score.
From what I understand, the reputation scores are on a log base ten system. Which means a reputation score of 30 is 10x better than 20, 40 is 10x better than 30, 50 is 10x better than 40, and so on.
Yup, I use the
(log10(rep)-9)*9 + 25
formula - same as the score shown next to the name.
