Hello Steemers!

So you joined Steemit and thought you'll make 100$ on your every post and be a millionare in a month? well sorry to burst your bubble but unless you're super ultra mega lucky it doesnt work that way.

So How does it actually work?

Well, There are two main ways to earn steems. 1. Posting and 2. Commenting.

1.Posting

If you want to earn well then originality and consistency is the key. If you post high quality content, you'll be rich in no time. your first post should be an interesting introduction.

2.Commenting

Commenting is the most important aspect of steemit. Engage as much as you can. In thee beginning some witty comments can do wonder for your wallets. Commenting also helps in expanding for your followers.

Following & Voting- things you should not do

Dont go on a random streak of people and voting content. Upvote only what you genuinely like, as it will lead to curation rewards and follow people who share same interests as you, as it'll help build a community. Dot upvote too much as it will to decrease in voting power.

What to do and what not to do

Few days ago, @rahul.stan, one of my favorite steemers, interviewed some of the biggest whales of steemit and summarized their opinions.

The Do's
1.Be consistent
2.Keep posting even if you don't earn much
3.Work on creating quality content
4.Write original content
5.Leave encouraging comments and check comments left by others in your posts
6.Follow users and engage in conversation
7.Don't give up even if you don't earn much
The Don'ts
1.Don't spam. Nobody likes spam.
2.Don't post links of your posts in other users comments if it is not related to your post
3.Don't ask for upvotes in comments or in steemit.chat .
4.Don't use "I followed you, please follow me" kind of stuff. That's not the right way.
5.Don't expect to earn hundreds of dollars right away. Rather focus on building your identity and brand.
